Penang is a food heaven. Yes it is! Anytime, anywhere you able to catch food for your tummy, some more is delicious food. And definetly, you will never get starving whenever you are here - PENANG, my hometown!
Most of friends or relatives from other states/countries comment "why I can't find any bad taste food in Penang?", especially for those first time visit to Penang. In fact, not all Penang food are taste that great, here do have the normal and bad one.
There is plenty of food supply around, and so lucky we having more chances to try different stalls/restaurants/etc... That's why people said that Penang Lang 很嘴调
Since I am Penang Hokkien Lang, i hereby recommended the local hokkien restaurant Ang Hoay Lor 洪火爐 which operate more than 60 years. My grandpa use to bring family here for years back... until now they still able to recall the place, the food, the people, the memory because Ang Hoay Lor never change ever since.
And because of the old restaurant, food doesn't serve in presentable way, but they do have the hokkien ko cha bi 古早味......

Oh ya, please don't expect too much variety of food, there just few dishes serve. I guess 80% food already taken as photo above. >.< ".
Anyway, Ang Hoay Lor is a hokkien restaurant that I strongly recommend to go... hunt for the lao wei dao =)
